Why I Created this Community

For years, I set the same well-intentioned goals every January—fix this, improve that, finally become who I thought I should be. When I didn’t meet those goals, I felt worse about myself than when I started. It wasn’t until a deeply personal turning point in my life that yoga became more than movement. It became the one place I felt accepted exactly as I was, where I could slow down, breathe, and simply be.

 

Choosing to become a yoga teacher was the first decision I made purely for myself—not for my career, not for approval, not because society told me it was the next step in the evolution of my life. I quietly began to keep what served me and release those thoughts and constructs that didn't. 

 

I brought that same mentality into my yoga classes. As a teacher, I began to see how many women avoided traditional fitness spaces because they didn’t feel like they “fit.” Since my classes were held in non-traditional places like bike shops and apartment buildings, students found that they were in spaces where they could just be themselves. They learned that wellness wasn't about forcing their minds or bodies into a mold, but about adapting the practice or routine to fit and support their bodies, their lives, and their pace. 

 

I created this online site to offer that same kind of supportive space—one rooted in encouragement, not comparison; growth, not judgment. A place to show up as your authentic self, receive support when you need it, and space when you just want a quiet spot to reflect.

  • The Bulletin Board provides a welcoming space where all members can explore a monthly wellness  theme, ask questions, share stories, and connect with like-minded individuals. You can participate as much or as little as you like — everything is accessible in private mode if you prefer to view the latest community offerings from your own cozy corner.

  • The Lotus Lounge is a calming sanctuary with themed rooms like the Breath Room, Reflection Room and Nutritious Kitchen, all designed to help you slow down and recharge.

  • The Wellness Studio is a  space with classes and meditations tied to the community's monthly theme, plus a monthly live class with time for Q&A, and the opportunity to request classes that support your personal practice.
